Look Honestly at the Failures

You become someone neither you, your family, nor society in general respects in order to obtain material things. Winning?

Your own Perspective Matters but be Realistic

You experience a loss that yields an invaluable lesson and places you in a much better place afterward. Failure?

pride n positive: dignity, a feeling of honor, or a satisfied sense of one’s position or character; negative: excessive self-esteem, conceit, arrogance.

Your successes and failures are your personal experiences. They are the source of your self-respect and self-worth. Along with your values and family history, they make up your foundation.

In general, they are not anyone else’s business. They are yours. Personal. Practice discretion.

When you share the “good” parts to lift yourself higher, beyond the best light, it is considered arrogant . . . negative . . . unattractive.

When you share the “bad” parts for sympathy or compassion, it is considered needy . . . negative . . . unattractive.

Others have their own family history, values, and experiences.

They may or may not share your sentiments regarding your personal business.

Don’t expect them to.

Have some pride.

So, how are they, your values?

Good or bad,

Instilled, adopted, or tacked on,

Your values define your character.

They are the primary source of your motivations.

They dictate your behavior and

your life will accurately reflect your core beliefs

for all the world to see.

On what do you invest most of your time, energy, or money?

You can talk a good game but observing this one thing, in what, where or in whom you are most invested, is the surest way to identify your values.

In the mirror there is only you.

Be honest.

Are you content? Are you proud of where you stand in your life? Are your values getting you what you want?

You can only reap the “benefits” of what you place value in.

You can also choose to change and live by different values if it suits you.

Choose wisely.

To truly know yourself, you must begin with the foundation – your family.
This is who you come from, where you formed your value system, and where you learned to relate with others.

Trace as much of your family tree as possible.

Re-discover your family history.

Look at it all – the good, bad, and the ugly – and learn from it.

Share what you learn with your children and the young people in your family.

The information is invaluable.

It is firm ground; a solid foundation on which to stand and move forward.

Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it. - Edmund Burke

Those who lose the connection to their own past are much more likely to stagnate or to slide backward.

Feminine woman, if you want him to provide and protect then your lane is hearth and home.

Learn from your people’s lives and move yourself and your family forward.

Knowledge is indeed power.

And it isn’t always about a degree.
