Focus on You

No one can persuade another to change.

Each of us guards a gate of change that can only be opened from the inside.

We cannot open the gate of another, either by argument or by emotional appeal.

- Marilyn Ferguson

You can only control you.

Choosing to focus on what other people do or do not do entangles you in

your version of their problem

rather than

your vision of your solution.

What you think upon grows.

Try something new.

Accept Less, Get Less

Female approval carries a gravity that few are willing to take responsibility for.

Your perceptions drive what you expect, believe, and accept regarding yourself and other people.

A victim mentality blames everyone except self (most notable when the person is the only constant across varying situations). It releases the person to expect, receive, and be less than.

A slave mentality needs permission from anyone or anything outside of self (most notable when the person is an autonomous adult in a free country). It releases the person to expect, receive, and be less than.

This extends across the board – from personal behavior to culture in general.

Check your lane.

Gray Dresses

Femininity and sexuality are two different things. And, there is a marked difference between accentuating the female form and revealing it.

The dress in the first pic accentuates the body’s curves with soft, draping material. This dress is feminine. The dress in the second pic simply reveals the body (along with the unfortunate choice of undergarment). This dress is just tight and there is nothing feminine about it.

Accept it or not, the way in which you present yourself to the world, namely, your manner of dress, discloses your level of self respect to everyone.

It also tells men exactly where your head is and what you’re more than likely willing to accept.
